Affluent, privileged teenager Jason loses his best friend and prep-school roommate to suicide. Then his new girlfriend apparently commits suicide, also. Or did she? Jason encounters the abuses of class privilege, the mutability of sexual desire, the thrill and risk of competitive sailing, and the adult cost of teenage recklessness.
